Insurance Claim (2021) is a site-specific installation created due to the damage of another artist's work during the Direct Message install, resulting in an insurance claim being filed. As a result, the artist recreates the damage by deconstructing the everyday items utilized in a gallery context and evoking the state of presentness, chaos, and frustration that comes with any exhibition install. The work distinguishes the mishaps of every day by discovering new meaning through the proverbial "mess."
